A first birthday is a milestone of discovery, growth and joy. A cake smash session captures every precious — and gloriously messy — moment.
Cake smash sessions are limited (typically weekends) so each little one gets personalised attention. Even if the calendar shows an open slot, please confirm cake-smash availability before booking.
A non-refundable deposit is taken at booking (typically half of the session fee). Final amounts and the current rate card are confirmed when you book — see packages / book for current rates.

What décor themes are available?
We offer a range of adorable themes. If you don’t see what you have in mind, ask — we’re happy to explore new ideas when lead time allows.
What kind of cake do you provide?
Our vegetarian cake is made with less sugar and colours that match your theme. Tell us allergies before booking. Typical allergens: wheat, dairy (milk, yogurt, butter), eggs. Bronze: bring your own cake.
How long is a cake smash session?
Sessions are one hour; we often capture what we need in about 45 minutes so your little one can warm up and enjoy the smash. Optional splash adds about 30 minutes.
When should we schedule the session?
Usually around the first birthday — a little before or after is fine. Want edited pictures before the party? Aim for at least 3 weeks ahead.
Do you provide outfits?
Please bring your own outfits for the best fit and style. We keep a small studio selection to browse — limited sizes and availability, so treat it as a backup.
What about siblings and mess?
Expect cake, crumbs and big smiles — we plan for the mess. Immediate siblings can join on Gold; bring a spare outfit for the birthday child (and siblings if they’re in frame). We’ll guide the pace so nobody feels rushed.
Can we add family photos?
Family photos are included in the Gold package (parents and immediate siblings of the birthday child). Extra relatives (grandparents, cousins, etc.) can be discussed when you book.
How will we see the photos?
Within about 5 working days you’ll get an email with a private online gallery link to view the session.
Can we get the entire gallery?
Yes — you can add the full pre-edited gallery. Details and current rates when you book.
Do you offer printing?
We can print small formats in studio. Larger prints, canvases, calendars and more can be ordered from your online gallery.
How long until final edited photos?
After the gallery arrives, you typically have 7 days to pick favourites for final editing. Once we have your selection, finals are usually ready within 14 days. Past the selection window, images may remain available as pre-edited only.
Do you offer express editing?
Yes, subject to availability — ask before booking if you need a faster turnaround. See packages / book for current rates.
What should we bring?
Outfits (plus a spare), any comfort item for baby, and allergy notes if relevant. For Bronze, bring the cake. We’ll confirm the rest when you book.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as you can for your preferred date. Existing themes: often from about 10 days ahead. Bespoke themes: usually at least 2 weeks’ notice. Shorter notice is at our discretion — contact us to check.
